Vision

“Most people tiptoe through life hoping to make it safely to death.” – Bob Proctor

Think back; try to remember a time in your personal history when you have felt the most alive.

Was it when a dream manifested, became real in the physical world, perhaps a dream that by every ounce of rational wisdom should not have come true but by some miracle it did?

I’m not speaking of foolish living, promiscuity, or sin. I am suggesting however that to truly live, to truly manifest the purpose for which you were created, you must first cultivate a dream, the thought of which inspires you to tears. Then you must follow that dream the way Christ walked the Calvary Road – with certainty and conviction despite the odds, despite the jeering, spitting, ignorant crowd…He endured the cross for the glory set before Him.

Your life will change whether you want it to or not. Why not be the instigator and navigator of that change rather than the victim of it?

Try this:
Begin with a question. Not so much, “What do I want?” but rather, “What can I give?” What, in the process of doing, makes me feel most valuable, most needed, and therefore most fulfilled? In other words, what is my contribution to the world?

Living well is never so much about what we get but what we become, especially what we become in the process of helping others, it’s about service.

If you could be, do, or have anything, what would it be?

Pretend, imagine, that you hold in your hand a magic wand, the most powerful and coveted magic wand in all of human history. This wand is so powerful that by simply imagining what you want and waving it, that very imagination will manifest in front of you, at that very moment.

Think about it, let your cup fill with dreams until one rises to the surface and inspires you, fills you to overflowing with emotion. If the imagination, if the vision of it does not evoke strong emotion then you haven’t found your destiny yet – keep searching. But when your vision does inspire you almost to tears, then begin to focus on it.

Focus is a mental discipline. It will require energy and sacrifice but if your vision truly inspires you, the hard work it will require, and the self-sacrifice it will demand of you will not seem too costly or feel too excessive.

You do not have unlimited resources, no one does. There is never enough time, energy, or money to do all of the things we would like to do. The key to a happy life is to make the most of what you have at any given moment. To do that you must make a decision. You must decide between investing time, energy, and money in one thing as opposed to another. You must take the sharpest sword you can find and cut away the excess, the diversion, the distraction, any thing that does not contribute to the manifestation of your dream must go.

Demonstrate your intention, your commitment, and your love by devoting yourself to your dream.

Write your dream down as clearly as you can. Do not be afraid to revise as you grow and learn, but start somewhere and begin with a written plan.

You must write it down.

A written plan is the first step toward manifesting – toward bringing your dream out of your mind and into the physical world.

Ask, “What can I do right now to move closer to that imagined state of being?”

Take immediate action even if that action is as simple as making a phone call, creating a to-do list, or reading a book.

The very minute you take action, however small, your life will change and you my brother or sister will be the author of that change. No longer tossed to and fro on the waves of circumstance, you will be a co-designer of your life. Your Maker created you for a purpose. He put the seeds of that purpose deep within you, and He gave you the ability to find it.

The dream itself, even if never obtained, will create in you the person you were born to be, the person you always knew you were.

As you begin your journey, mediate on these things:

Hebrews 11: 13 – 16
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them , and embraced them , and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. ? 14 ? For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. ? 15 ? And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. ? 16 ? But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

“We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love.”Mother Teresa

“Most of us are unconsciously addicted to…the great illusion of life that says we ourselves can be masters of our destiny….We need to abandon our pride and wait patiently on God… In this state of grace, we are in alignment with His will and thus the creative powers of the universe….We have a sense of well being, a lack of time pressure, a knowing that the future is being rolled out before us by God, and that we just need to be there to discover it in each moment.” – David Kupelian from Whistleblower Magazine Volume 17, Number 1, Witchcraft in America

Live with passion, live like you really mean it, live like you know in your heart of hearts you were born to live.
